The BEC course is designed for students at an Intermediate level or higher, who need to use English in a business or commercial situation with a recognised qualification. The BEC exam develops your ability to function efficiently in an office environment where English is used as the language of international communication.
You learn the terminology used in the financial and economic world and how to cope with basic business practice such as correspondence, the language of meeting and presentations, negotiating, telephoning and interpreting financial documents. The course serves to consolidate and expand your practical experience, using authentic material with task based problem-solving and role-play situations.

Levels
We recommend this course for students who are upper-intermediate - advanced (B2 - C1). However, some intermediate (B1) level students who are used to using some English in their workplace often benefit greatly from the Business English classes as well. You will have a full language assessment before starting your course to enable us to decide which level of Business English class is best for you.
